News: Bernard King passed away at his home in Weedon, Northamptonshire on Monday  14th November 2022 unexpectedly. Bernard had been in and out of hospital since covid after a serious hernia operation. His departure was a big shock to his only surviving brother, his family, and his many friends.

Bernard wished for his research to continue and therefore I will continue Complete Classics in Bernard’s memory. Bernard had dedicated the last 40 years to Bentley and Rolls-Royce research and writing, publishing more than 35 books including books on aviation, another hobby very dear to his heart.

I continue to update and maintain his records daily with some assistance from a small group of like-minded authors and enthusiasts that Bernard communicated and corresponded with regularly.

It was Bernard’s intention to complete several books including The Rolls-Royce New Phantom, The Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, Bentley T series and other books that have not been covered which will be coming out in due course in the same consistent style and format which Bernard started in the mid-nineties.

To keep Bernard’s database up to date of any changes, such as registration, owner, country and similar details. You can write or email us on the below contacts details:

Finally, Thomas will attend The RREC South of England rally, The Annual rally presenting Complete Classics selling books which will be held at Burghley House for its final year (2024) and present at the northern event in August at Harewood House as he has been since 2010 with Bernard.

The Bentley and Rolls-Royce community who relied on his wealth of knowledge and his considerable kindness and help to many thousands of members have sadly lost one of their greatest advocates. His enthusiasm, his sheer determination and persistence, not least of all his colossal knowledge on cars and identifying them.

His legacy continues…

Thanks for reading.
